I asked once and no one replyed... .

does maximum boost pressure just indicate what the limit is for horse power(for exampe... can I only get to 350 horse with the turbo and so on I have now???. . I get 35 PSI)or am I really getting close to 350 ponies???? dont see how thats possible... . hmmmm... ..... ????????????? Jim

JIM. S,

No max boost should not equal horses.

Fuel =power(HP), the boost(condensed air) helps to achieve it.

Different size turbos will change air mass delivered to engine, or changing waste gate specs.

Unrestricting exhaust will gain you a few horses. (Relieving back pressure).

One of the reasons they started to use turbos on the big diesels was so they could run at higher speeds, the waste gates on turbos helped to get the truck/car out of its own way( smaller turbo tunnels).

I will research TDR magizines I know this was written about a few times.
