I've done that

mine looks just like that not quite as far in as yours don't you hate when you tuck the radiator hose between the oil fill tube and the fan and forget about it the start the truck and go what the heck is that noise.

Me as well which you already know sux. Especially when you do it the day you are supposed to leave for vacation and no one in the area has the hose in stock. :{

well we have a winner :-laf as im revving the engine saying man this thing must just be cold or something :{ 24. 99 later... ... :-{}

I am looking at the over tighten hose clamp on the heater hose..... ouch!!!

yeah im no fan of it either but the hoses are relocated to a different position because of the twins so thats how far I had to go to get it to stop leaking... . need to come up with something better :(

Im still confused :rolleyes:

So you wrap your radiator hose around the fan blade, then start your motor Why?:confused: :eek: :-laf

I haven't done it but knew what it was. Didn't the TDR have a mention about this a while back? :D

I like that purty silver color you have there... Is the whole engine that color? Did you remove it and paint it or what ?

Yup been there... . done that... .

Worst part is... NO damage to the hose... . but it took me 10 min to figure out what it was the (ahem) first time... .

Yup... I've done it a couple times... Generally it's when I'm Talking and working at the same time that something like that gets "missed. "

Motor/head is still black, just the lines, valve covers, intake plenum, exhaust manifold, alt. bracket, intake horn, and the turbocharger exhaust housings. compressor housings are black.

What kind of paint? Must be high heat to coat the exhaust manifold and turbo. I've been thinking about doing something similar to mine.
