So who's been hunting, or is about to head West?

Nah, Your thinking of booger/douglas county down by Ava. LOL God's country is about right though. The other day one of the local black bears decided to pay my fish food barrel a visit. It would have been ok but he smashed the barrel in to get the lid off. It's only about a 45 minute trip to get to Bull Shoals lake from my place also so I visit that during the summer to fish when there isn't anything to shoot. I like this time of year my schedule for the fall is hunt, eat, sleep, hunt, eat, sleep, hunt.

Black Bears huh? We don't have any around this neck of the woods. Or not that we know of anyway. I'd probably crap my pants if I saw one of those while I was out bowhunting deer. I wouldn't feel too bad if I saw one during gun season and I was packing my . 300 mag



Eat, Sleep, Hunt, Eat, Sleep, Hunt, that's a nice life you got there. Further proof that I need to retire at age 25.

I will be heading EAST!!!



Since I live right on the Pacific, I will be heading a couple hundred miles east--NE Oregon that is, for Elk hunting in a couple weeks.



Now, its just a drive in camp, but for a number of years I and my hunting buddy had pack animals and packed in for Elk.



Can't wait to head east.

I guess I'm getting older than I everthough I would, now it's more the trip and experiance than the actual hunt and kill.



I'm sure not as motivated a hunter as I was a few years ago, but I still find myself looking forward to this time of year like a kid looks forward to Christmas.

I am heading to the Big Horns in Wyoming in a week for deer Oo.

Also will be taking the wheel of my (new to me)
