Guess Why I have a Cummins !!!!! :)

DM

Why do I have a Cummins? Simple, she sounds bad ***!!!!!! Really, I got the Cummins because it's an inline. You know, the same reason everyone else bought it. I can't stand a V8 diesel... no power and they sound like trash. A lot easier to bomb the 5. 9, too.

reliability, dependability and low end torq. . you can't beat that inline no matter how much computer crap you throw on a V8 diesel...

Because 30 yrs of driving truck with nothing but Cummins baby. Did own a ferd with a 6. 9 non turboed & no power. I'm on my 2nd dodge ctd & on the last one I should have to buy. Should last until I'm dust in the wind.

Simple. What other truck on the market:

Sounds this dang good

Is this powerful

Is this easy to modify to whatever you want

Run for ever

And still yield outstand fuel economy?

My best, 20+ empty all feeway, 13. 76 pulling 5th wheel (13K)

And I expect to be over 450hp.

Lets see a Duramax Or Powerstroke that can do BOTH of those! Heck, all of those things. Not happening.

I love this truck!

so other ford and cheby owners can be jelious when i pass them and leave them in a pretty cloud of soot :-laf and ofcourse cummins is the best diesel engine..... Oo.

Only Cummins

In looking at the specs for diesel pushers (motorhomes) all I see are Cummins and Cats. I have never seen a diesel motorhome offered with a Powerstroke or a Duramax engine. Since these buggers run around 30,000# maybe there's a reason. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

owned a cummins since '91 ...

my '91 had lockers in the front and back and 42" swampers by the time i sold it ... at 275k ...

i've towed ... raced ... pulled ... mudded, anything that i've wanted too

and the three that i've had have NEVER failed me...

here that ford and chevy chicks ... NEVER!!!!!!!!!

I own a cummins because if I could get some "100% tuna free dophin fat" or some whale fat I could render it down use it as fuel, drive off to a PETA or Greenpeace protest, roll some smoke at the crowd and still be helping the enviroment by not using petroleum. Oo.

Why? Because I've wanted one as long as I can remember. One of my first cars was a diesel - an Oldsmobile with the V-6 oil burner - it wasn't the best thing in the world but got me hooked on the sound and smoke. I went through the rest of my early driving years with diesel Oldsmobiles, diesel Isuzu pickup trucks, and various other diesel vehicles until I finally got an old beat up '92 D250. Sold that one and moved on to the '01 I have now - got to have room for the little ones. Think I'm stuck at 2nd gen though, I like the sound too much! If it's not rattlin' it's not runnin'!

I bought mine because, as a college age kid, looks, high power potential, usability (street racer, puller, offroader, pimp wagon) can all be had from this truck.

I can watch the Co pull (not built enough to participate yet) and then turn around and ride to "Slammin' and Jammin' " in nashville and not be too out of place at the show.

I can scoot and shut down the honda's and then go climb a mountain to party and raise hell in seclusion, hauling a truck load of people meanwhile... and getting better mileage than an SUV. I can pay for it once, and it's expected to last until i'm out of school without major problems. It just works better than anything else.

My motto is keep it simple stupid, look at the Dara Duds and powerstrokes engine bays and then the Cummins. What a cluster FU@%

Simplicity, durability, and 'cause it's cool :) I've had powerstrokes, and they never let me down. BUT, nothing has the low end pulling grunt of the cummins! The chevys and fords seem like you are pushing the limits and longevity of them when you mod them. Yes they can get big power and are fast, but how many have you seen with hundreds of thousands of miles on them and have not melted down?Just my . 02... ... .....
