October

Famoso event

That's right, I can make it to the top!

I brought my Dad out there on the last trip. He just couldn't get over how massive it was.

Just curious which tires are working out ok for both street & sand?

Ive had BFG muds, & Dunlop mud rovers and both sets did just "ok" in sand. Never got stuck, but that was only due to planning every move ahead of time. They tended to dig in and needed a lot of power to keep moving.

Have never had these BFG A/T's in any REAL sand. If you air them down are they decent, or is there a tire that is preferred? Not talking strictly sand tires, but just an overall use tire. Thanks.

Added: Running BFG 285/75r16 All Terrains now so they are probably not very wide for keeping a heavy truck from sinking in.

I'm running the BFG 315's on my truck. They work ok. Most of the guys, Bob4x4, Jake, Akcamper, run Toyo's. I think the Toyo's are better.

The Bfg at's in the 315 size are the best I have found for sand use. They just don't hold up well enough for me anywhere else. I have used 305's also they worked very nearly as well as the 315's.

Bob

Akcamper is running The BFG at's in the sand ;) Jake has Toyo Ats I am on Toyo 37' MTs right now. I think we will have a c rated bfg project equipped truck this time as well.

I would call up Carli suspension, they have a very affordible kit using the Bilstein 7100s . I drove one in there demo truck,it was very plush for that price point. I think I will be going that route on my 2nd gen very soon .

Glamis is about 30 minutes se of Brawley,I would love to give you a ride in a well suspended truck.

I only do Pismo once a year the salty sand has done a bit of damage on some previous rigs.

The 7100 kit is brand new the production shocks just showed up on a big pallet.

The new 2nd gen full leaf pacs look killer too Oo.
