Man these rains out here are like other area's of the country. I'm really happy with the way this 05 works in the deep flooded highway's this thing is miles away from the 99 when it comes to braking in the wet slick highways. MAN! :D. Gonna get away to the dez (desert) this weekend to help cure cabin fever.

Very SOGGY!

What do you like more about the braking over the 99? I live in Mammoth, but am in Temecula right now, and besides the brakes being real grabby the first few times, they have stopped me good, but I also might not know what I am missing out on. but it has been very very wet here. :--)

hey Torq

The 99's brakes when hit hard and on a slippery surface and unloaded would activate the ABS all the time I hated it. I tried pulling the fuse for the AGS but it would set a code and lock the beast up and almost always put her into a slide :{ . The 05's brakes are a dream I can bring this thing down from 60-0 with out a hint of ABS MAN this thing stops :D. Also I thought i would never own another manual transmission again but I gotta tell ya I love shifting the ol 56 honey even here with the So ca traffic. Since the availability of the 325/600's for all 50 states Ca was sucking up all the 6 spds it could get its hands on. I only hope the new G56 is as good!!!!!!!.

Mammoth huh? man I need to get this thing up there for some skiing we do allot of off roading at Mammoth Lakes during the summer we stay at Mammoth Lake RV park and ride dirt bikes out to lookout mtn and the June Lakes area done allot of hot creek also. We have a run to Anza Borego area this weekens I'll be passing right through Temecula Sat morning to HWY 74. look for the TDR sticker on the back of my Toy Box.

Mac, that sounds pretty bad with the 99, I had a friend in Bishop with at 01, and I remember him telling me some stories like that. So far so good with mine. HA that funny you like to off road up there, I practly live back there in the summer. I have a YZ 250, and I love driving my truck back there! Next time you come up let me know, I'd like to check out your ride and BS a little.

Hey Torq

I look you up next time in Mammoth Lakes. This last summer we were in Mt St Helens in Wa St cool single track riding I ride a Honda CR 5 honey with 13/53 gearing and a 15 OZ flywheel weight (in single track riding only). then 14/45 for the desert southwest. We pretty much ride year round, my wife is from Mt Vernon Wa. Man we get some cool riding in the Pacific North West.
