NO Way! Ported AND polished you say?

That engine COULD use a damp cloth. Gots some dust shown' there. At 118K miles it's ripe for BOBMing

Yes. You see porting, as I understand it, is where you get a bunch of cast iron dust in your eye, and if it's a used part your porting a bunch of condensed exhaust particulates, too. And polishing, well that's a long story…As for the BOMBing, I sold the rig to a friend who likes to race a hot rod, soooooooooooo…I think some mods are in order Oo. Oo. Oo.

There, there, Tugger…have a look at my 91 and you won't feel so bad :-laf #ad

I'd like to clean up undr my hood but much of the paint on the coolant pipes and other stuff is flaking off. What would you guys use to dress up that charcoal colored paint on these engines. Thanks. Dave

In a nut shell you simply removall the parts from said engine. Sand the critical parts. Spray w/ engine paint like Plasti-Kote or Dupli-Color. Reassemble with new hardware/hoses etc.

For the added touch coat the manifold and turbine housing w/ceramic and repaint the alternator with "Cast Coat"

Sum folk like chrome water pipes and polished valve covers. I don't want chrome so I painted the covers a Ford Red and all them pipes an aluminum color.

The finish touch is a new block heater w/cord and a degresed engine compartment.

Maybe I'll borrow JLEONARD's rig and do one of them "EXTREAM MAKEOVERS; FIRST GEN EDITION" ... ... lead him outside the house blindfolded and pop the hood for him ROFLMAO

Pull off parts and powder coat and forget about them for the rest of the life of the truck.

Well, yea. I mean you cant very well drive it for five/six months but thats why everyone has a winter driver, right?... ... or a second diesel rig... . LOL
