If I have to replace the windshield wiper blades on my Dodge one more time I'm giving my truck away. Each time they wear out I count that as two major failures on my Dodge and I am very upset over it. If they fail again that will make four major failures! It's unacceptable.

I've complained repeatedly to Dodge demanding free blades and a lifetime warranty and each time I call a teenaged airhead in customer non-service makes rude comments to me. I can't believe Dodge doesn't honor my warranty. Life is definitely not fair.

In all fairness, I would be very unhappy too if I had 12 problems in less than 30k... . Yeah, maybe I expect too much too, but that is what happens when most of your vehicles last a long time and are relatively trouble free. I have been very happy with my '05. Most of my problems have been small and spread over 233k; that is a big difference with what you have seen. Good luck with what you decide.

My record on water pumps is pretty good. I got 233k on my first water pump on the '05. My '92 got 180k before it was replaced and my '99 has just over 200k and still has not been replaced by the current owner.

I agree, that's way too much hassle in 30K and I'd be ready to get rid of it too.
Happily Brian, I think your problems are more the exception than the rule.
Better luck on your next rig!

Hey Brian, like my black friend says, "I feel you, man!" I had a problem on my 04 that drove me bananas for 3 years. The intercooler was nearly touching the frame and everytime I hit a bump, I got this "echo" bump. No one could feel it but me. All the mechanics looked at me like I was missing some gray matter. It seems it is in some ways like getting married when you get a vehicle, especially a truck. The one you have may not be perfect, but at least you know it. Trade and you have to learn a whole new set of problems. Parts can be replaced. But now that won't start excrement would be like pouring clabbered milk on my Cheerios! My po little piece of advice is don't worry about the parts, but stir up the whole world and half of Georgia (A SC saying) till Dodge finds that electric gremlin, which CAN be found, and I think farther down the road, you'll be glad you kept it. Mark
