Coupling a fifth wheel with short bed lifted 1500

Why are you so happy about it or did I not read between the lines wrong?

RV, somehow I get the feeling that he's found something he likes better. Let's see if in 10 days or so, he announces a new 5th wheel, class C, or whatever! Mark

I've decided to build me an 18' lowboy gooseneck , I sold my other one couple years ago and miss it , So i didn't do too bad , i still made about 1300. 00 after i made it too, So not too sad ,Hah

It's just the right size for a good all around trailer, Put 2 7k axles under it and it'll haul quite a bit of different varieties, Auto, hay, etc. ,Won't stick out too far, Son in law can pull with 1/2 ton, I liked the other one i had, should have kept it, Take care, Monte

Any trailer is better than none so enjoy the build and post pic's when done. I had a 14k/20' and 20k/22' but found they were both too short, so I sold them. My current one is 16k/25' and works good but would get a 28' next time. Just as an example, a standard cab/long bed, full size pickup is 18' long. I have found that with the short bed it can be hard to place the load to the tow truck and trailer's advantage, not enough room. With this trailer I can haul 6 ton of hay and not go over 10/11 feet high, with the short one it would require 13/14 feet to get a good load. Just some thoughts, not being argumentative:)

Yeah, thinking about it, a 20' lowboy would probably work out about right, 2 extra feet does make a difference, Yes i know what you mean, But i don't think i'm gonna haul anymore great big loads of hay, April gotta start buying some more cows, Take Care, Monte

I get the first call on the trailer and i sold it, Now i'm getting alot of calls on it, I deleted my ad on CL too, guess it's getting that time of year when some are wanting to start hauling
