:) Just had Solid Steels' 3rd gen. trackbar installed in my truck and all I can say is "WOW"! The truck has never steered this well since new! Next best thing to a new truck and without the payments. Special thanks to Marv at Solid Steel for a quality fix and to Carli Suspension in Orange,Ca for a quick, thorough install. Sage at Carli installs these frequently for us frustrated, wandering 2nd gen owners. :D

Did you (or who ever installed it) have to do any grinding to get the bracket to fit on the frame? Was there any problems with the holes on the bracket lining up with the bolt holes on the frame? Where did you order it from and did you go to the dealer for a 2003 truck track bar or go with the adjustable DSS track bar?

I got the bar from the dealer at a cost of $194. 00(my friend has an account, this is wholesale cost) Bracket came from Mr. Bob's Distributing(mention the TDR) It was $196. 69 shipped w/Arnold's cut. They use the fender washer spacer setup where applicable and have had zero returns after multiple installs. They are an authorized KORE installer and helped Kent develop the original T-Rex system. No problems with the bolt holes lining up in my case. They said the grade 8 bolts and locknuts provided by Marv makes for a really secure conversion but I will monitor it. They feel that an adjustable bar is unnecessary with the KORE system and to illustrate Sage only had to turn the wheel slightly(with engine off) in order to slip frame/trackbar bolt through opening. Install time: 90 minutes Cost: $50. 00 Grand total: $440. 69 OTD
