Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Solo 1693 code

I hooked up my laptop with OBD-II software last night and pulled codes to see if there were any set since I've been having fuel issues. I got a lone 1693 and the tool shows no pending codes. The 1693 is DTC in companion module, does that mean the VP computer has problems? I suppose I could take it to a Cummins shop and have them check it out, but from what I've seen their testing doesn't check the electronics, just pump operability.

I believe the 1693 is nothing to worry about...

I think that is the code I have had since the truck was new...
