I posted a thread about my complete electrical failure a couple weeks ago. The cure may help others who experience the same problem. The problem was the battery. I indicated both the negative and positive battery posts were loose and would spin. I took off the cables, noticed a hex nut at the bottom of each post and tightened them as best I could (being lead, they're pretty soft and subject to stripping the hex nut). Have not had one repeat of the problem since tightening.
So if you have this type battery, it's another thing to maintain: keep the posts threaded down tightly. As an aside, my son's speculation on why would they put in threaded posts: to make a generic battery case and thus be able to swap posts to whatever type is needed for the vehicle they are put into at the factory. Makes obvious sense. And I don't want to hear anyone saying No Duh!!
