Tax Question - Mileage Deduction

Our Dodge's are Doomed Now!

Good news Mike. I was just getting ready to offer to pay the $35 for you, but now I don't have to. It's the thought that counts, don't you know.

I'm in truckie's position myself :-laf

Honestly I had contemplated my membership also, I just can't stand the cheerleading from people who don't even own a product but will take over a whole thread to argue. Guess I just learn to deal with it and not reply in the posts anymore when they get that way... seems to work so far.

Think of online discussion forums like the trucking world.

-No matter how much horsepower your Kenworth has, somebody either has or knows somebody who has more.

-Somebody always will get better mileage than you.

-Somebody always will pull the Sisters faster loaded than you can empty.

-Somebody always has bigger stacks & more lights.

-Somebody always thinks Pete rules and Kenworth sucks.

-Somebody will always make good miles & good money with a Volvo. or God forbid an International, and be made fun of for being a dork by the guy with the pimped out Peterbilt stuck for four days in some out of the way craphole because he'd rather go broke than be caught dead pulling a trailer without aluminum rims--after all he has a reputation to uphold

Oh Man Dan,Your Killin me here :-laf :-laf :-laf . .

That had to be reason enough for next years dues itself. The heck of it is all I can add to it and fit it in with Truckie seeing the light is something one of his more famous Pittsburgh natives would say about the above comment you posted... ... .

"Oh its TRUE, Its True!!!"

I have to quit watching wrestling with my daughter or get back to work already :D :D .

Truckie. .

When I first read your post all I could do is feel your pain. There are still some things like that going on and some forums I steer clear of because of it(The Political Forum is a great example as I do not have enough Stress Tabs to visit there). Its hard at times when you see something totally wrong posted, you drop your ideas in and then get flamed for it. I try hard not to let members who do that drag me off the deep end and assume a high orbit battle position but still find myself in the thick at times defending whats right. When it reaches a point where total lunacy has taken control and the original thoughts are lost I will step out and stay away. You do have to remember there are alot of "newbies" stepping on board who seek our help so somewhere along the way your knowledge is and will help someone.

One thing that was offered to me on posting by a person who works for one of the TDR's bigger diesel shops out west was this, think about maybe it will make sense to you too. I was told when your posting and before you hit the enter key take the time to reread your post and look at it thru the eyes of a new poster, one who has had little or no prior knowledge of these trucks or website. Doing this may help you think a tad clearer and not loose your mind or temper when posting. He even challenged me to have a neighbor, who is not a diesel owner, read some of the posts I made and see what he thought. I did and found out what he was trying to explain to my thick headed skull, lighten up and try and help those who can not help themselves. At any point,I am glad your hanging around as any knowledge we loose here is a loss for all the members, both new and old alike... ... Andy
