note that front clearance was minimal since I left the original diesel noise shielding on the firewall. I am running a 19" flex fan with a custom adapter, dodge radiator, modified dodge fan shroud and stock dodge intercooler plumbing.
on the right side of picture you can see a chevy clutch master cylinder from a 92 6. 5 with 5 speed nvg 4500. I adapted the gm line to fit the dodge slave cylinder- result is a real easy clutch pedal with the centerforce dual friction clutch, I am also very pleased with this clutch, plowing through 2 feet of snow in 2nd gear 4hi at wot and clutch hooks great!
if you look close you will see that the intercooler is on the outside, for better charge air cooling, the a/c condenser is in the stock location. Summertime cooling while towing in 100 degree temps could be better. I would either like a larger fan or maybe find a different offset pulley for the fan. A tech at cummins says there are 3 different heights of fan pulleys available with the dodge using the lowest of the lot.
205 chevy transfercase with dodge input and custom adapter, this is after I stripped the 1 3/8 32 spline gm output and transfercase input twice in 15,000 miles. Now I have full splined dodge output 1 1/2 29 spline.
I havew been seriously considering doing this for a while now. How long did it actually take you and do you think the final package was worth the effort (i. e. would you do it again?)?
