Or a small bomb. It chunked the block right out onto the track, concrete, cylinder walls, and all. I added some of the pieces to my SDX Carnage Collection that started with a set of my spider gears, Dave Mitchells clutch, etc! :-laf

It is too bad the camera missed Rick, the starter flagger, jumping like a little girl, I think it was the first time he realized it is just a touch dangerous to flag!!!

Erik Stacey put down two of the best mod runs I have ever seen, this one, and the win the night before(a record, no Mod has ever won Scheids, Fri, and Sat). Considering the time and parts he has left on that track, it is well deserved.

I feel sorry for the gasser boys, who have to contend with this truck, in Ohio.

That event was, the biggest and best Diesel sled pull I have attended in my life. No exaggeration. Nearly 200 hooks on Saturday.

Thanks to all who pulled, watched, worked.

I would like to thank sleddy ,he knows why. and the DHRA did an outstanding job with a very good hookin track noless.

As far as the meeting goes ,it would have been better without the fighting we are all adluts right so why can't we just discuss this stuf that way . All rules suck unless they are wrote for you ,that is how everybody will always see it. And you are allways going to have people build huge trucks with tons of money to win no matter what the rules are. Just watch soon you will see people running custom built stock chargers in the work class. just my thoughts.

Not a problem!!

I think the rules meeting went very well, we learned a lot. I also think fighting is a bit too strong of a word. Raised voices were used to be heard over the grader on our track, and gasser trash dragracers across the way.

The two pullers who seemed a bit involved are strong competitors, one was dominate last year, and this year its vice versa. Tempers are going to flare, but everyone shook hands before the day was over.

I wouldn't want it any other way!!! :-laf

Saw you truck apart in the pits Garrett - that sucks man! I love walking around in the pits. Friendly people, and cool "technology" on display. That black truck from MN was cool for the way he had it set up. Too bad he had to use the white smoke = disappearing wallet trick! Super friendly guy. Cool to see that Powerstroke mod make a pass too - even if I prefer Cummins. Great people, good times, and my favorite event all year!

I've got some good pull vids to post too. Was that a third charger I heard spooling up on Stacey's??? I wish I'd have gotten that big d-max on video. I was thinking "hey I can pull if he can" & just about when I finished that thought he left his parts on the track. One of my friends said he wished he would've brought some D-max driveshafts with him to sell.

Props to all the guys who pulled. Unreal amount of breakage and lots of firsts out there.

What an event. Friday lost a wheel off of my trailer 10 miles from my house, destroyed the wheel and tire. Unloaded the truck and drove it to the trailer place. FIxed tire. 10 miles later, the rear axle broke loose when the brakes locked up on another trailer and blew one of his tires. Crappy hook friday, the track fell apart. I eaked in saturday as number 25. Decent hook for finals, except for someone forgot to reset the sled for the street class(hmmm) I was afraid the track would fall apart so I wanted to hook as fast as I could. Gene did give em the option to hook wherever I wanted. Engine was still too hot, and blew a freeze plug. Then to top it off on the way home, I blew the spare that I had just put on my trailer. Good event, long weekend. Man did Tomac lay down a run in the street class. The dodge boys have to rethink the game plan. It was good to see the DMAX boys put down the power to the point of braking stuff. Rick smith from Daves diesel broke the output shaft on his allison. Tomac trashed his rear driveshaft. Then to see Amos(probably the best streetable single charger truck in the midwest) slam it in reverse and clobber the sled, ouch!! The lifted chevy that ripped his front tierod apart. That powerstroke mod ford was awesome. Anybody who has been in pulling in indiana should remember Ben Miller, he had a tan extended cab powerstroke that he pulled with it for one or two years that I remember. Had lots of headgasket problems he is a diehard ford fan. I heard that everything for the ford mod motor was one off stuff. He has been working on the engine for 4+ years is what I was told. That was the second hook on that mod truck. Then Eric Stacey comes and lays it down in the mod class. Is he still heavily associated with enterprise engine??? As much as I like the Haisleys it was great to watch him come in and put the smack down. Pushes everybody else that much farther. I believe Rock Hard Ram will have a intense upgrade this winter. It was a good event. See Gene that is why I suggested the IRP event be moved to the action track. Nothing wrong with going to Terre Haute twice a year.

This was definately the best diesel truck pull I've ever seen also... anywhere. Dang Gene, did we just agree on something?? As far as Ben Millers's Ford, there is WAY more left to put on the table. Only the second run, first one with Ben driving. Not a bad way to start!

What happened to Eric Stingly??? Does he still pull in the DHRA Mod class or is he just pulling around in Ohio???? Haven't seen him in the lineup this year...

His truck sounds very similar to the way Stingley's ran a year back and Stingley's had 3 chargers.

PS more new videos on the first page of this thread.

I think stingley joined the service. By the way Joe, I talked to the guy I got the pump from and he told me he had the governor set on the low side. Convenient to find it out after I needed the RPM. Thanks for the advice and as always the entertainment. Justin you sure you remember who won??
