Competition 2nd pull a success

The tube section of the driveshaft is 64" long. It would be too darn heavy if it was steel. If this was a dedicated pulling truck I'd have one made up out of steel but I dragrace and drive this truck on the street too.

On the street too :-laf :-laf :-laf . Only if your parking the trailer around the corner from the pull.

I've got a 1 piece 71" shaft that is 4. 095 x . 180 wall.

It does not vibrate up to over 110MPH.

(closed course, professional driver, of course)

I was thinking about doing this whenever mine bites the bullet. I worry about carrier bearings too much after knowing Josh Layton ('06 Megacab Glasgow KY) has busted 2 in less amount of pulls than I have made this year (12-14).

Hey Garret PM me how much that solid driveshaft cost so I can get an early :--) factor out of the way. :-laf

Carnage wasn't too serious. I twised up the rear driveshaft in the SD pulloff and finished 3rd. I put in the spare and finished 3rd in the Quick Diesel class in the 1/8 mile on Sunday. I redlit -. 001 in the semi final round and ran a 7. 7

Michael I was there for the pulls, impressive as always. I was also there on Sunday for the 7. 7  :--) :--) :--) :--) is all I can say!!! :D

I have about $700 in my rear, it is a nice piece though. I imagine you could get it cheaper if you buy the parts from the right places. 1480 ujoints all the way around. You have to get a yoke machined that fits in the transfercase with a 1480 joint. There is an application that uses the 1480 yoke for the Dana 80.
