Some weeks punch you in the gut others aren't so easy.

Having a very rough day. On friday, my best friend was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Sunday I worked a car accident where I saw a 23 year old woman woman who was 9 months pregnant die and the unborn child was crushed completely. Her 18 month old son had severe head injuries, her mom that was in the car had multiple injuries but not life threatening. Get to class tonight and one of our classmates got picked up by the ambulance and turns out he has a major brain tumor. Get home tonight and my mom calls to tell me my aunt whom I am very close to was taken to the hospital tonight with a stroke.



When it rains it pours I guess. Sorry for such a gloomy post. I just needed to get it off my chest.

Sorry to hear about aunt and friends' troubles. Those occurances one cannot prevent nor predict.



Seat belts on the auto accident? Many times, those are preventable, but still predictable.

Yeah they were all wearing seatbelts. Got t-boned by a 19year old girl who ran a stop sign. She wasn't hurt. amazing considring it was a 60+ mph collision between a grand am and a cavalier.

Damnnn man... I asked the Lord to shift the cloud over a bit . . but didn't intend for him to pass it on to some one else. .



6 funerals in 6 months for me + the family medical issues. . but things are looking way better on my front. . Sorry you got the cloud of bad luck. . hang in there Buddy

Don't let it get you down. Cancer is beaten all the time now. How long have you been a medic? I was an EMT before my accident and I know how you feel. Make sure you go to debriefings and I am sure your dept. has someone you can talk to after calls like this. Take advantage of it. Don't try to keep in inside because it will resurface sooner or later.
