I was at a Car and Truck show in Maine one time at the Owls Head Land Transportation Museum and there was a guy there with a yellow scaled down Peterbilt 379 for hauling his camper. I didn't see under the hood but it had tandems and looked just like the real thing except for it was only 6 or 7 feet hig and alot more narrow.
The clutch is a Cub Cadet garden tractor clutch. The ones built from 1961 until 1981 by IH... not the MTD versions of today. Those are my other hobby. I'd notice them anywhere.
Funny thing was... I was just thinking how perfect that Cat engine would be in my 1966 model 122. Heck... the clutch would line up perfectly and the horsepower is only 1/2 HP more than stock. Plus they make pulling clutches and dual disks so I could bomb it with scale injectors and really pull the single bottom plow. Oo.
A month ago I saw a Holset turbo on an old Case tractor that would be perfect for that. I can't remember the size but comparatively, it would be like a HX10 (HX35 to HX40 difference).
