I BOMBED My Gaget Collection! (New Computer)

You've seen the pics in the other thread...

The 93 3/4 club cab. Got a visual inspection from a fellow TDR member today. Not rusty, not wrecked, not beat up.

Runs good, probably needs a few things, like a front oil seal, transmission pan gasket, front end work. No biggee.

So, the guy emails me and offers it to me for 6800. He won't budge even a buck...

I wanted to keep the price at or below 6250. Should I go for it?

I gotta call him back and give him the word, and arrange for the details tomorrow, if I do this... I hate possibly passing up a better deal. But I have never found a better deal in years of looking. Anyway... ???

If it is in good shape and what you are looking for, why even think about it, GET IT. It seems to be a good deal and very clean. Come on don't you want to start bombing your "own cummins". Say it with me, "I own a Cummins. It is mine. I own a Cummins, I OWN a Cummins, I OWN A Cummins, I OWN MY VERY OWN CUMMINS. opps sorry I got a little carried away, again.

I have bought thinks before and felt like I should not have, that I could not afford it. I paid cash for my Cummins and I have NEVER felt like I should not have bought it. I love the truck, it has never given me problems. Yes it has been in the shop. It is not the most reliable vehicle I have owned, BUT it was never a "problem". My 84 Isuzu diesel was the most reliable, it always ran great. But I did not enjoy it like I do this truck.

Just get your truck and start fixing it up the way YOU want. You will never ever regret buying it. But you will regret not buying it.

Your very own Cummins, Shoot now I have tears in my eyes, excuse me now, I have to go and get some tissues.

Deal is done.

Except for the transit times for contract, money, etc, etc, it's a done deal.

Now I have to figure out how it's going to get from there to here...

I have kids who have birthdays on Dec 10 and 14. Pretty sure I will be allowed to miss them. not even for a truck.

So, unless it's not me behind the wheel... no. :)

Seems as though there are enough of us between the truck and PW to set up some type of a ferry/relay deal- kinda like Pony Express (Pickup Express?). How about it, guys?

When you amortize the $650 difference over the ownership lifespan of the truck, it just ain't much. Congratulations! I'm jealous! If you don't like it, talk to me.

If you go to ebay an dig around, thiers companys that transport pick-ups an cars. I got quote from teaxs to ohio for around 600bucks.

PS that thing sure looked clean!!!!!

congrats on the "new" toy. i hope it will bring you years of pleasure. keep us informed as you transform it into the truck in your signature. getting the second set of doors on it may be the hardest... ... ... . :D

With all due respect to Major General W. H. Rupertus, USMC.

This is my Cummins. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

My Cummins is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I master my life.

My Cummins, without me is useless. Without my Cummins, I am useless. I must BOMB my Cummins true. I must drive straighter than Ford and Chevy who are trying to beat me. I must smoke them before they smoke me. I will... .

My Cummins and myself know that what counts in this race is not the gallons we burn, the noise of our beast, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the wins that count.

We will win... ...

My Cummins is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weakness, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its lines and its tires. I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage. I will keep my Cummins clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...

Before God I swear this creed. My Cummins and myself are the defenders of Dodge.

We are the masters of Fords and Chevys. We are the saviors of my life.

So be it, until victory is Dodge's and there is no Ford or Chevy, but Peace!

Man back in 1981 we got caught in one hell of a snow storm

14 hours from redding to medford it was a _itch :(

PW,

I will be in LA/Ontario/Hemet on business next Wed or Thursday on business. I could probably figure out a way to drive it from LA to Santa Rosa (60 miles north of the Golden Gate) if everything is set up ahead of time. It's a 12 hour drive from Vancouver, WA to my house.

Email/PM to talk.
