Someone tried to break into my truck

Last Thursday night I had some errands to run. Made a couple of stops and threw the items I had purchased into the back of my truck, which has a shell. Stopped again to pickup some more items and when I get back to my truck, someone had opened the tailgate but couldn't open the back window. They didn't take anything, but I was ******. Today I installed the Pace Edwards Power Bolt. It installs inside the tailgate and is power operated. Opens and locks via my remote door lock. Once it is in the locked position you cannot open the tailgate, you just can't. Only two wires to run and was pretty easy to install, have a person with little hands available just incase. I needed help grabbing wires inside the tailgate a couple of times. This could also help relieve any concern about having your tailgate stolen, provide you lock it.

"you cannot open the tailgate, you just can't"...

... yes you can! Pop the plastic cover and slide the lock bar. Screwdriver helps. You'll need to do this when the electric solenoid "fails. " Replacement solenoid is about $20. Been there, done that.
