Your truck might have already had sentry key. Look on your window sticker or have your dealer run a VIP for the option list. Otherwise go get a $2 key cut and if it starts the truck you do not have sentry key.

If it does, unfortunately you wasted the money on the aftermarket alarm. You will find no better system then the factory anti theft. They will be able to steal it, but they will not be driving it away.

Good point about the Sentry Key. I have one, but I'm getting an alarm system anyway. I want to deter them from trying to get in and steal my electronic goodies too. I'm pretty sure they won't get the truck, but I don't want some low-life even getting in to look for stuff to steal. I figure the combination of J. J. 's, laminate glass, an alarm system, and the Sentry Key should be a good start. They can always find a way to get the truck or get items out of it, but if you make it a big enough pain in their arse, they should move on to an easier target! There are plenty of unprotected vehicles for them to choose from.

Oh yeah, I have the Glock prtection plan too, but that only works if I can catch them in the act!! :-laf

Love that Beretta protection as well. Sorry if it's a punk needing "scratch" as I work way to hard for it. Ask me I might give it to ya, take it from me you're going to regret it! Sorry about your upbringing but we all started from the same place, first grade to 12th grade, we all had the same chances just different paths.

I installed the door Jimmi Jammers over the weekend, snapped a few photos to help out future installers. I'll get those posted sometime soon, headed out of town this weekend.

VERY simple installation. Need a Torx T40 bit with a screwdriver attachment to get the pull door handle off (inside). Then a large phillips and a #2 phillips to remove the door panel screws. Then an 8mm socket with 6" extension to get the nut off on the backside of the outside door handles. Took about 15 minutes per door, taking my time. If I were in a hurry, it would only take about 5 minutes per door.

Thanks very much for the info Nine Ball. My Jimmi Jammers arrived this week and I'm going to install them in the coming week. Your info is a big help.

I thought a non-sentry key would start the truck; but it'll only run for a short time, or do I have that mixed up? I'll check my 06 manual...

The ultimate antitheft is Lo-jack- my concrete contractor put it on all his bobcats. They were stolen and quickly recovered 50 miles away. It seems the illegals who stole them put them to work right away; as they were caught 2-3 days later USING THEM on another jobsite. Imagine the looks on the little brown faces as the cops swooped in...
