the second AMMENDMENT is Not about hunting..please. Read the history of America pre civil war. A car is "made to kill people" in the wrong hands, so is a knife, rope, pencil or whatever. THE SOLUTION is to go back to a good and moral people. Weather it be two parents where mom stays home, church, God or what have you..we did not have these issues prior to the 1980s....snoking, our right to keep and bare arms is to protect ourselves from Government... Thanksgiving day, 1980, Priscilla Ford, driving a Lincoln , ran over 18 people in downtown Reno killing 7.. Should we call this "car violence?". Should we ban cars? AFTERALL, if it saves ONE LIFE, it's worth it right? How bout banning fertilizer? About 4000 lbs killed 168 people in Oklamahoma City...it can go on and on... Please don't fall for the whacked out argument when the truth is Big Government wants to take away people's RIGHT to defend themselves...

I believe it does start at home. The children follow the habits of the adults- good and bad.
Having an adverse environment in school, etc, which has been ratcheting up in the last 8 years, is not making my job as a parent easy. Now I have to begin college shopping. Ugh.

I agree with both of you.....

How can any child understand the rights and wrongs of society if they dont learn proper values at home. And how can children ever learn to be respectful self supporting contributing Americans if they're told everything but that in school.

All that said, I re-attended college at an older age in order to finish a degree I had put off too many years earlier. Just so everyone understands my point being made.....I never really believed the rumors you'd hear about liberal teachers filling students minds with radical warped views and opinions which totally conflict anything those kids learned at home, in church, or in a capitalistic world. But getting to experience the college "experience" first hand again, I was blown away at the upfront blatant propagated agendas these professors had and how they used their captive audiences as puppets.

Since I obviously dont follow the leftist rhetoric way of thinking, I quickly became a stand out in these classes. Kids dont have the confidence to stand up against such bullying teachers and are typically too afraid to subject themselves to the following wrath if they do. I on the other hand didn't care about such inconsequentials and was very outspoken at the garbage those teachers tried to force feed their students. Yes, most students remained silent but to my surprise too, I actually had kids come up and thank me afterwards for some of the things I had to share in their class. Who knows, maybe I kept some from becoming totally blinded Marxist followers out to hate America and suck on the tit of entitlement.
I truly feel sorry for the masses of college kids run through the liberal system generator.

I'm doing a decent job of raising some kids as God fearing conservatives in one of the most liberal cities in the country. When I showed them the BOGUS story linked before about the pledge, they were very upset. The remedy was to say it in the evening after dinner as a family.

Anyway, the 5.56mm does not tear bodies apart.
It's not supposed to do that.
If you want to see lots of mangled flesh as the result of one loud bang then you should see what the typical deer rifle will do.
Where I live, you can't use a 5.56/.223 on deer.
It's too small to effect clean, one-shot kills. Small (55-65 grain?) fully jacketed bullets, though they can kill, aren't actually made for killing 100-200 pound mammals - humans included.

If you actually understood the purpose of the 2nd Amendment, you'd know that the reason the citizenry is entitled to AR15's is because the military has them - though (even if the nitwits in the media can't make the distinction) the military versions have full-auto and select-fire (3 rounds?) where the civilian weapons do not.
That'supposed to keep the government in awe of the people.
Continual efforts - by leftist turds like Obama and Hillary - to demonize/ stigmatize/ban/confiscate these weapons is sure evidence that the 2nd Amendment is still keeping them in awe, and they don't like it.

Now I'll grant you that these mass-shootings are horrific, but the total numbers killed by scary black rifles pale in comparison with those killed with other types of guns.
Do not the lives of those others matter to SNOKING, or is his pea brain so stunned by the scary black rifle that he can't see the majority?
