Works for me.

The case of the missing new threads...

Something weird just happened here.

I just turned on my computer and singed on to the Internet, did a live up date for my virus check, and then clicked on TDR here and it was all weird. Every post was dated for 8/1/04 and it would not let me view the members sections. I had to resign in again for it to work, then close the TDR page and click back on it and all was fine. I never had this happen before, and this is the first time I have ever had to resign in since I became a member.

Whats up with situation?

Did this ever happen to anyone else?

Your virus update must have cleared the cookies from your machine. The TDR sets a cookie which contains your login information - if that is missing you'll have to log back in.

Well here it is 6:30am and all is fine. Steve I have done virus updates and scans before with no problems. But like I said all is fine now. I am using Norton system Works for my virus protection. Seems to be working well, never had a problem.

Steve could this have happened because I have not logged to the Net with this computer in like 3 weeks? This is my personal computer that I have in my bedroom/ office. The other computer I have I use most of the time down in the living room. So If I'm to tired and to much other stuff to do on my Vio I just use the down stairs one, and the Vio just gets used for business work.

I suppose your machine could have something on it to expire your cookies after a set period of time. I don't think vB sets an expiration date for the cookie at all. It could have been that specific virus update. There may be a virus in that update that would install itself in a cookie and that's how they solved the existing problem. That's just a guess but it's possible.
