something werid is happening to me..

Something odd is happening to me..... Im starting to like country music more and more. I really never gave it a chance before now. A girl that you all know about played lonestars song "lets be us again" and ive never been so touched by any song ever in my life... I also like reba, joe nichols, lonestar, trace adkins, i pretty much just leave cmt on and there isnt one song i can say i dont like.

Not too much real country music anymore. I won't dispute how good bands like Lonestar or Diamond Rio are. They just sound like pop music to me. Not a bad thing I guess, It would be nice to turn on the radio to a country station and here county music though.

Hey I did the same thing. I hated country, then when I moved I didn't care for the radio station that played "my" music. I gave country a chance. Being I grew up in the sticks, I thought it was quite ironic that it took moving to Chicago to find my roots.

i've started to like opera more and more now... and other ethnic music from other countires [asian, oriental & middle east]

I'm here in So Calif where country is hated by kids. I'm 19 and when i was in high school 2 or 3 years ago i was sick of all this Rap and Pop junk that the media shoves down the throat of kids, and started to listen to something that accually had good lyrics that meant something. I'm hooked and its the majority of the music i listen to and blast...

I grew up with country-western, as my father was a big Johnny Cash/Merle Haggard/Marty Robbins fan... . but I was always more of a rock n roller... . my favorite all time band, who I just saw again last week, Lynyrd Skynyrd is kinda on the country side of rock. You all should check out the country western cover of Skynyrd songs, some big CW stars doing Skynyrd tunes... . the name of the CD is "Skynyrd Frynds" it was released in 96', it made me appreciate CW more, I guess what comes around goes around, as I am now 44 yrs. old, and now like the old Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard music!... .
