It's a damn shame, that Dodge use's the same exhaust for the single rear wheel as the dually, much soot--- :(

That said, need a good stainless tip for my new 2005 dually--thanks, R

exhaust tip

I see that most of the tips are around 13" long--is that long enough for our duallys--have seen others 18" long--and others as long as 24", seems a bit to much! Also, does the 6' exit to big, or should I stick to the 5"---(have 4" exhaust pipe?---thanks, R

Yep, if you want less soot on the rear quarter panel you'll need a tail pipe extension. I've used the Megs tip from Geno's on three CTDs.

SS doesn't matter----

it gets sooted up very fast. I sure don't need another job - I mean like being anal  enough to polish your exhaust tip -

Heck - just go down to your local independent muffler shop like I did - compare - pick one and get it installed.

There are 4 shops alone in corpus that had as many as 10 diffeent style tips. No need to order nothing.

Bill - That tip looks great all polished out. I do the same to mine. Its nice to see someone else that isnt so LAZY and takes pride in the whole machine.

I bought one from 3A Racing. Web siteat www.3aracing.com It fits pipes up to 4 1/8" in diameter. Made of 100% stainless; rolled, straight-cut tip. You'll have to chuck the clamps that it comes with and replace the long bolts with three smaller 1/2" long set screws. Part number of mine is 62-2431. $35. Think it's just a little over a foot long. No more soot on my yellow beast:D.
