Soot Stains

I have a friend with a white second generation truck. Over the winter he had a soot stain develope on his rear quarter. Now that spring is here and he is trying to clean it, he has found that it stained it. Has anyone had any luck getting these stains off? I am going to suggest that maybe he try the color match wax.

I had the same problem when I had my stacks... white dually fenders took a beating.



I had to lightly wet sand and buff MANY, MANY times (friend at local body shop). It eventually came out.

Mothers, Meguairs, or Zaino Claybar should take it right out.

SIMPLE GREEN works great on just about everything else. Worth a try?

Soot builds character. Leave it alone!

3M Handglaze available at pro body shop supply places... or your local Napa. Its safe for clear coat. It works on just about anything from scratches to fade to polishing plastic lens. Don't be afraid to rub hard... and you might need 2-3 applications but it works and leaves the surface real shiny.
