For getrag class, we'll be needing shims. I was thinking between Michael, Chris and Daniel we, I, should have all the shims needed? I'll be bringing my disassembled getrag and a bearing and synchro kit. Is it time yet:)?

Chris and I have shims for about 3-4 Getrags.

No, it isnt time yet, though I cant wait for frosty mornings. 85deg at midnight is getting old.

"Gotta love the midwest, in 5 months it'll be -85 at midnight"

Right now anything below freezing sounds good. Remember, you can always put more clothes on, but you can only get so naked!

Ask me in Feb, I'll probably tell you something different.

Tom

Have shims, will travel.

I guess that next you are going to want a bearing splitter or something.

Can talk bad enough about the weather here. #@$%!

What kind of how to classes are planned for this year? I would like to know more about timing pump, found all 3 mounting nuts loose on mine this week when it started running like crap. Got it back on marks and runs good again.

Also I would like to know how to change governor spring.

Only 42 more days, yippeee. :D

I have a timing tool, and Pete has the adaptor to find TDC, so we can check your timing (with the correct tools this year) while Scott is giving VE class :-laf.

G/F and I both have the Friday before off work, so we may get there before 11AM Saturday. What should we bring for eats? The normal chocolately dessert affair?

DP

Uhmm, maybe you better bring some sun screen for your girlfriend. Or maybe an umbrella to set down in the shade... :-laf

I think we should do the syncro ring races, I did one last night again after the neighbor kid let it fall apart in the parts washer. It was easy to put back together with a pocket screwdriver and a little grease... ... :p

A bikini would be OK too! ;)

Just gotta keep rubbing it in, huh? :-laf :-laf

After reading through this thread about the "firearm alarm" I'm finally starting to put two and two together: After driving 3 hours last year, I pulled in just after daybreak to a vancant farm stead:confused:. I heard voices and saw three guys coming from the trees. One packing heat. My first thought was - I hope to h@ll this is the right place , my second thought was - I drove three hours to hang out with these guys ?

Just kidding! I had a great time and learned a lot Oo. . Will try to make it again. Would like to see a gov spring go in, DP killed etc.

A swap board is great. I have several things to bring. We had a little of that going on at the KY meet but being the first time and getting spanked for discussing specific items on the DTR site there wasn't a lot of prior discussion & planning so it was hit & miss...

Flathead6, I've often wondered about the apprehensive look on your face when we walked out to the yard that morning. Now I understand! :-laf :-laf
