Can someone give me a source for a good quality transmission (48RE) Filter. I am in the process of a discussion with my dealer and need to know what some "Good Quality stuff costs".

I just bought the filter from the dealer, it is a good filter so why change to after market?



You could go to NAPA and maybe save five bucks on an after market filter.

How aout $868. 00 for an Oil / filter change - Transmission fluid change - Transfer case change and diff's shanged 4 X 4. Hurt a bit.

Dealer wanted 275. 00CAN for a transmission fluid change,service,belt adjustment and filter for my wifes 2002 Chevy Trailblazer,tranfer case/front/rear diffs---synthetic fluid 150. 00each(service teck said we service the diffs too--ya right its a drain and fill). Sooooo all 4 would cost 725. 00 +++tax and enviro fee,oil disposol fee/container fee and a fee fee for the fee fee---yadda yadda yadda. Umm let me think about it while i drop my drawers and reach for my ankles ---No thanks sir i think i can do it CHEAPER . DW---PS i second Napa.
