I am still having problems with the ABS turning on even with normal braking. It is not throwing any codes and when I drove it with my mechanic and his computer hooked up all the speed sensors would drop to zero at various times. It seemed to happen more on the left front sensor but the right front and rear would also drop out too with less frequency! Is there a way to disable the ABS with out pulling the fuse since that also drops the speedo and my fuel guage is not reliable. It is spring and the stopping is worse with wet streets. My mechanic thinks that it could be a ground in the system or that the abs controller is going bad but not throwing codes. I am at my wits end and now have to rebuild the STARTER! Any thoughts are much appreciated I am just having more frequent braking problems and at my wits end with the problem.

I don't know about the 01, but on mine I just unplugged the controller itself. Mine is located behind the dash above the transmission hump. I have to take the knee bolster off to access the plug, and it is a little difficult to get to.
