YUP - on the one side, we have guys patting us on the head, telling us to "don't worry, the Government, EPA and fuel distributors know what they're doing and will look out for you" - and then you get the steady stream of related failures and damage...

Suuuure, I'll trust the oil companies to watch out for me, and protect my engine and fuel system - when HELL freezes over! ;) :( :(

I agree, I don't think the Government gives crap about what happens to us. But another question is what will all the big rigs be running?

So what is the final consensus, lube or no lube? I don't really want to be adding another $5 dollars a fill up in lube. maybe I should just start stock piling some mexican fuel, they still sell the ultra high sulfer stuff and it is still cheap, ($2. 00 a gallon) from what I understand.

I can't really speak for what the big-rig drivers do - but I *do* know that one of the best sources for various diesel fuel additves in bulk, is at the major truck stops like Flying J... ;) :D

On the other hand, the big outfits trade in rigs at about the 100K mark - so they may not be as concerned about long-term fuel effects - since they really aren't affected by it.
