Sound file of straight pipe?

Anybody out there have one for a 3rd gen? Some say they sound terrible, but I'd like to hear it for myself... might do it this weekend.

Not quite a straight pipe - this is with an aeroturbine, which doesn't do much to muffle the sound, so it should sound pretty similar to a complete straight pipe:

This was with an otherwise-stock engine (stock fueling, stock turbo, etc. )

Yup, thats how my str8 pipe sounded like.



It'll sound better fully warmed up, less turbo airyness.

Wow, That sounds nice!



I've heard a couple of sound files of the Aero turbine installed but had heard that it sounds much different than running just a straight pipe.



I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow and see what I think. Your truck sounds great!

I'm sure some of you guys know what I mean, but you need to hear on with the TST box. Mine has a sudden burst of noise around 2100rpms. It sounds like 4 or 5 ricers inside of a tunnel. Its way louder that the 2nd gens.

the manuals sound better than the automatics... Some guy i met that lives near me has a 6 speed with the muffler cut off and i think his sounds cooler than mine

Well, I just got the muffler taken off and a straight pipe put in... it sounds great! It reminds me of how the big rigs sound!. No droan to speak of and not to loud to be civil.



I love it, and by no means sounds like a ricer to me... just sounds like a peterbilt when shifting through the gears.

Ive had 3 neighbors come over and tell me my truck wakes them up every morning... I really dont know how to respond to it but i usually just change the subject very quickly... I feel pretty bad. Wonder how its gonna sound when i get dual 5" stacks coming out of the bed

Good point nick... Fortunately, I live on a few acres and have a wall of trees between my neighbors and me. I think your neighbors will learn to love your 5" stacks... I mean how could they not, right!



BTW, be sure and post a sound file of those stacks when you get them done. I'd love to hear them!
