UPDATE:

I installed brand new Bosch Motorsports 50hp injectors yesterday. The rattle is gone and it starts much faster cold than it ever did hot or cold before. Also, the power difference is amazing. The smoke is very minimal... actually less than before at the eqivalent power level. Rail pressure is 4800-5000 at operating temperature at idle.

Now I just need to find a Smarty owner in the West GA/ East AL area to help me out with the latest ECM flash.
 
It's been a while since I watched rail pressure very intently on shutdown. The last time was with an analog gauge and it went to 0 within 2-3 seconds. I have a digital gauge now and just went and watched it a few times. The pressure goes from 6K to 26K then to about 4K within 2 reading changes, then under 1K by 8 seconds after shutdown and back to static (20. 3 today) within 25 seconds.

My analog gauge must have had some serious smoothing built it, in never showed a spike and went to zero very fast.

I presume you are talking leaking injectors?
