Sour Gas?

What is sour gas? Does it damage the brain? I have seen big changes in a guy who works at a "sour gas" plant!

I too work in a sour gas plant , the sour comes from H2s mostly and co2, the h2s can kill you in 1 breath if the concentration is high enough, the co2 is an inert gas and it will kill you to because of o2 defficiencies, if you get some you will start acting wierd and going crazy on your buddies and let the wife re-model the kitchen while he posts on the TDR... ... ... man sounds like dangerous stuff... ..... glad I didnt get any :{ Kevin

Dave at work makes his own blend of sour gas after lunch... I keep those strike anywhere matches on hand!

the h2s and co2 are by-products after we strip the methane gas from the inlet stream, the co2 is vented to atmosphere and the h2s (hydrogen sulfide) is converted to sulfer , we train rail it to Florida and they make fertilizer out of it
