Looking for a source for Bosch 185 injectors. My odometer reads 176K but works intermittently, (quits for about 1000 miles per 10,000), currently not working. She smokes quit a bit until the turbo catches up to the fuel. I think it is time for new injectors. Any forums, advice or no-no's for changing the injectors.

I run the 185's however I bought mine before the price went up a bunch. I paid $320 for the set. Now they are very high priced. Piers Diesel Research (PDR) now advertises some Bosch 190's for around the price the 185's used to be. Call them as see what they say about the 190's. I sure would not buy a set of 185's for the price they are now.

Injectors are no biggie to replace. It is nice to have a slide hammer to pop them out, but I switched mine out without it. There is a little bump on the side of the injectors that will not allow the injector to turn in the bore, it also has to be lined up when installing the injectors, just look at this, it is self explanitory. I put antiseeze on the injectors when I installed them. When I did the head gasket after about 12,000 miles the injectors came out real easy.
