I'm having trouble locating a source for Bosch 12v relays. Has anyone found a convenient source for these? I specifically want an always on / momentary off relay and a simple on / off relay. I just purchased the Varad Racerboy shift knob and it looks like it will work well with my accessories if I can figure out how to wire the relays. The shift knob controls the relays through a relay controller. Each button on the knob can be programmed to do on/off, momentary, and flashes with one second pulses.

I want to wire one button for a marker light interrupt and another to arm my White Knight backup lights. The other two could be used for an exhaust brake, bed light, interior lights, etc... If I need more, I can always mount another knob on the transfer case:cool:

This is the first time posting so I hope I got it right.

I have been interested in being able to flash my lights when pulling my 5th wheel and have wondered how to do it. Can you tell me what wire to use? I did a search and found someone with a second generation truck but no 2003's. It would be handy to have the switch on the shift knob. It will be interesting to see how your project turns out.

Just flashing the trailer running lights would not be that difficult. Just insert a normally closed relay in the trailer running light black and orange wire where it exits the control module. Wire the relay coil through a momentary closed button switch and pushing the button should turn of the trailer running lights and they will come back on when you let the button up.

The truck running lights would probably be more difficult to do.

Thanks for the info guys.

I did this to my second gen. All I had to do to flash both truck and trailer lights was tap into the marker light wire coming out of the headlight switch. I hope it's the same on the 3rd gen. I'll let you know how this works out.

I just use my 4 way flashers as a thank-you when someone flashes for me to come back in ahead of them. Do it if I'm driving a big truck or not.

I use the high beams (daylight ONLY) to flash to someone wanting to come in ahead of me.
