Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) blow off valve question

After weeks of messing with an overdrive hunting problem, finally found the culprit, the pivot pin from the throttle control bracket that fits inside the TPS (the bushings were wore and the pin was sliding off center intermittently and finally wore the heaqd of the pivot pin). Was pretty excited to find it until I went to the dealer to get a replacement. Seems the whole assembly has been superceded and you must by close to $600 worth of parts (cable assy, bracket, rod kit, etc) to fix this simple problem caused by worn out bushings. Has anyone encountered this problem before and have any ideas on where I might acquire the bushings and pin (rod?). Tried the local cummins shop and they supposedly ordered the pivot from a place in Wisconsin that buys dodges obsolote parts, but it's been over a week and still getting the run around on whether the order was even placed. Seems like the place they ordered from was called SR? but I can't find it in any searches. Or, better yet does anyone have any ideas on what types of places to check that might carry the bushings? Worst case I can probably mill the pivot pin out of stainless.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I have bushings, but you can order those from Dodge. $5 ea +/-.

The assy. you refer to is available seperately thru. Cummins. They will need your engine serial # (located on the data tag) 562_ _ _ _ _ ?

They will likely have to be special ordered from Cummins thru their overnight program. Look at my photos in this thread, the bushings are No 13 and the part you want # 19 (bell crank break over lever?) Its less than $100 if memory serves.

I change alot of bushings and not so many tps's these days.
