Hey Aster, thought about a smarty, but $69. 00 was a lot easier to do than $695.

Years ago I needed one for my 98. I did a "texas Redneck Boost Module". Basically it was a hose screwed into where the MAP sensor was, in the other end of the hose was a pressure regulator, then the MAP sensor screwed into the outlet side of the pressure regulator. Set the regulator at 20psi and the MAP never sees over 20.

Then I tried an "electronic boost fooler" but switched back to the regulator design. Most of the Electronic modules use a zener diode which stops the voltage from going over a certain level. Problem is a diode drops around . 2-. 4 volts. I could notice less bottom end and mid range. I feel that with the ECM seeing . 2-. 4v less from the MAP sensor it thinks the boost is lower then it really is and don't pump as much fuel to the injector. Just MHO PS: If I recall, the tap for the regulator so the MAP sensor on a 98 fit was the same as a sparkplug.
