If you weren't told it was a con fe, you would think you just had a better holding, more positive engagement stocker. Those who buy the minimum clutch they think they need, often end up buying another clutch.
BDickson, SBC no longer offers a Con OFE or FE in the 5-speed. You'll need the 13" upgrade, which is the same clutch as what the 6-speeds run, but with the 1. 25" splined input shaft.
Clutch effort is about the same as stock, with engagement a bit more positive for the OFE... the FE is grabby, but you don't want to slip it with that kind of tq anyway.
Whats the price differance in upgrading to a 13'? I was going to get a bigger clutch but was told not to over kill because it was just as bad as not having enough. I'm going down to the Farm Machine show tommorrow maybe i can find a good deal on a SBC Oo.
I've installed the street model dual disc on my brothers truck(04), very easy. No adjustment, no removing the washer under the pivit point on the fork and very nice to drive.
