I hear Haisleys' are making a nice pulling clutch now-a-days too. :cool:

My SB is okay, but it only has 3 hooks on it, and one was only 70'. :( :rolleyes: So I'm not much a spokesman. :{

If it works I say run it.

OK JR, you still haven't answered my questions. How many hooks on your SB clutch? This is a serious question. One I know of only had 15 hooks on it with a low power truck. That is pitiful! How many of these clutches are in trucks making big power? And where are these facts you keep talking about?? You made those claims about "industry leader in Dodge Cummins clutches!! Period!! :D " Do really have any FACTS??

Craig-You should be worried about flywheels. Cast flywheels have proven to be a failure in high RPM motorsports. Especially ones that have been turned down. Cast clutch parts are definately a NO-NO!! You are right about everyone running a blanket.

My 2 cents

I don't think any of the Double Discs are perfect,and if someone says theres is better so be it,but anyone who pulls alot knows better. The Southbend Double disc in my opinion is a well built unit, I have only had one problem with it,and it was my fault. I have been to a number of pulls,and I am running alot of fuel and twins,and I have only had two hooks were I did'nt place in the top 5, once was at Schieds I took 6th in the prostreet class in the finals , and I put on a spark show at the Geauga Co. fair. Peter is always working on making this a better unit, and this takes alot of R&D,plus his services are the best. not saying the other guys are'nt,but Peter is definitly on the right track. Mitchell's track record is prolly the best,but Southbend is getting better by every pull,and I know Peter wont stop until it is the best. Sorry for rambling.

:D

I know, I know, just wait til next year!!

For all of the EEPS clutches faults(so called by the sledslayer, JR Adkins), it has never failed me on the track.

It also has had improvements over the years, so the stuff you are talking about, JR, may quite possibly be old news.
