YET another injector thread...

fan clutch

Will this clutch have the rattle that the Mitchell clutch does? I have heard a Mitchel and its pretty loud when you push it in, but I am impressed with the abuse it can take.

Peter, Does it at least have the "DoG chewed it uP" Warranty ????

Also does this one Spark in more than one color? I can't wait to give it the "4th Gear slip it tell Ya get rollin Launch!":D :D :D

By the way I still have that one at the shop... For sale used... Clean it up a little and I would say it has 70% of it's life left after 1 year of Mild to Wild Use!;)

Or are you still shy on the rest of the truck?

I'm curious as to where SBC gets thier billet flywheels and center plate from? I was over at ATS a couple weeks ago and saw a pallet of billet flywheels being shipped out. Does anyone know and willing to tell?

What does this have to do with how good of a clutch it is?

Don't tell me he let you try it already... . Guess I need to pay up my bill to get back in the Loop!!!:--) :confused: :{ :{

Curiosity Aside... ... . It doesn't matter much where the parts are made as long as they Meet the Specifications of SouthBend Clutch! Then they are good enough for my Slug of a Truck

;) That was made in Mexico.

I would prefer they be built in America..... And Built to the best standards practical.

One example is: One of our new Housings that is in R&D is not available to us wholesale or Retail due to some Manufacturers/OEM technicalities But it is shows lots of promise. The current cost for these housings if available would be over 500-600 Dollars (My Cost) Then after machining they would be 600-700 My cost... . So if I add 10% . . You get the Idea... . This is a for a PIECE OF CASTING. . Nothing special. Well a oversea's company may have something similar for half that amount. When we get a couple of samples and test them for quality and compatability. If it is good quality then I will buy them overseas( because I can't get them here0 and Build Turbos that meet our specs.

If they don't meet standards then we drop them and move on.

Just MHO... Kurt

UPDATE!!!

I towed a light 6k load with the truck yesterday. All tho I am WAY overfuled to tow!! The clutch was great!! It shifted fine. And from a dead stop it took off just fine. I was a little worried about the takes off's with this clutch. (because I had never towed with it) But after towing its engagement was even smoother than unloaded. Dont get me wrong, it dorve really well with no load behind it! But it really shined with the trailer in tow pulling up the hills!

Peter, I know you are watching this post!!!:D

I Hope you are building my new clutch! :) Oo. Oo.

I will soon need one. My current clutch is still working great but I will be adding Major HP/TRQ soon and want to take out this one with the low miles so I can sell it. I still want to Run 1/4 mile et's with 14-16K in tow. The current setup holds my current power but soon it won't!!:D :D
