Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) South Bend Clutch Venting

Just sharing my dismay here. I got my 50% off for any south bend clutch from Reddog1 at Pay it forward, and I called SB today ready to order my competion puller double disk clutch. Well after Peter had me all excited about the clutch, I asked him about the certificate, and he said it only applied to the FE and lower priced clutches. He said he could only do $250 off on the others. I was all excited about the new double disk, cause I am ready to start prepping for sled pulling, and got shot down. I can't convince the wife that the $900 clutch I just bought last year needs to be ugraded to a $2050(2300-250) one, I could have convinced her of a $1200 one though. One thing nice about a computer is it always listens to my sob story!!

I can't really say I am shocked. That is a lot of money off a Dual Disc clutch. I can understand Peters side of it, and remeber I AM the anti cheerleader >. <

Someone always wants something for nothing. Why not be happy with what you've got? I'm paying full price for my SBC tomorrow and I say thank you to Peter for giving us a great product and even better service. I'd love to get $250 off but even at full price I am happy with what I'm getting for my money.

zstroken was actually very pleasant on the phone DISHEARTENED but very nice. I would like to elaborate on my decision with the reason. When we supplied the 50% off coupons to the rallies or events as door prizes we did not offer the two clutches mentioned. The coupons we are now sending out have a predetermined value. The earlier coupons did and do have a value of up to $650. which comes out to be a pretty darn good door prize. It is my way of thanking all of you for your support. To make that coupon worth $1000. + would be asking a lot. Also, it was very expensive to R&D my DD and will take a little while to recoup the initial expense. So for now we have to stay firm on our pricing until we can show some profit. This is just business and I hope you will understand.
