I got DDIIs in my truck + and EZ my clutch holds fine. Even when I romp on it. If you can get a good deal on the other mods you want to do, I might get them first.



Of course it is nice to have a new SB clutch sitting there begging you to destroy the factory clutch... .

I have 275hp injectors and a Power Max 2 and can slip the stock clutch in 4th and 5th gears if I stand on it. Next year I'm wanting to go to DD3's and a PM3 comp or a Edge drag comp, so I have to get a clutch to hold the higher HP before I buy the injectors and new fueling box. Thought I would try the mods first and just baby it until I get the clutch but you know how that goes.

see my sig, I am about done with the stock clutch. It slips in 3rd and 4th now with the box on anything above 2. As a side note, Which southbend for 500hp????

I think it's the strongest one they make. With that much HP you might want to check out these guys; www.enterpriseengine.com

They have a pulling clutch that I hear is pretty much bullit proof.

It looks like the limit of the Con FE is around 550hp or 1200 ft lb's

Is that the strongest clutch you got. I do not mind heavy pedal pressure,ect. I am about due to pay My Dues. and get a clutch. I want to do this just once, not 3 or 4 times. I do drag race it on weekends, and drive hard on the street. I also put 30k on it a year doing runs t michigan, tennessee, ect. (4-5k loads max)

Peter, HiPerf360(Jon)hit 550HP and well over 1200 ft/lbs this past weekend. It was more like 1400 and the FE held.

I'm having a SouthBend Con OFE 13-1. 25 installed this next week. Peter said it would hold at least 400 HP... does anyone with a like pickup (see sig) have personal experience with this one? Pedal pressure, engagment, etc?
