Geno's Garage - "got diesel?" Contest (Ends: June 15, 2010)

This Ain't No Show 'n Shine BD Giveaway (Ends: September 30, 2010)

You know I need that Clutch with 24 gears in my Bicycle I'm constantly shifting, with no freeway miles I never stay in high gear. My clutch just isn't holding when I down shift on the down hills. The peddles just spin freely? Come to think of it That DD would work well with my Cummin's and give me a excuse to put in bigger injectors.

I need it for my wife's 04. 5. She really wants to turn the Smarty up above level three. And my 5 year old son has claimed her truck when he turns 16. I'm sure a South Bend clutch would easily last the next 11 years!

Why I should get this amazing clutch!

1. It would add to the insanity of melting the new 35in tires I plan on putting on my truck in the next two months

2. It would guarantee a moderate size SOUTHBEND CLUTCH sticker on my truck!

3. It would stop me from frying my old clutch

4. Expanciate my conquest of smoking my buddies 2010 FORD with a Spartan

5. Make hippies believe something was wrong with my transmission

6. Delete one less thing on my shopping list

7. Turn my 04. 5 slow joke into a tire chirping/smoking hellraiser

I could probably add more, but if that's not enough then I'm not sure what is for free advertisement

I should get one because I am pulling my engine to rebuild due to bad blowby. Just bought the truck too but out of warranty. #@$%! Since the engine is out might as well replace clutch. :D

With 85,000 miles on my stock clutch and running a Smarty. Jr. , pulling a big fifth wheel almost all the time I know it is only a matter of time when the clutch goes bye bye... I have heard nothing but good about South Bend and would love to have one.

Thanks, Larry

My truck was recently in an accident and my stock clutch is not the same. Still okay but the time has come to replace. I definitely would like to save some $$ by winning one, but either way I will still be getting a South Bend when the stock clutch gives up the ghost or I start the bombing of my truck.
I have a lot of things fixed on this truck now. I need to finish the rest so that I can start the bombing. I can not think of a better way to start the bombing than with a new Southbend Clutch between my mighty Cummins and the NV5600.

Man sure could use a new clutch with 287000 miles no idea when last clutch was installed it slips a bit but still going...

Well,... . with over 275,000 miles and over 100,000 miles on present clutch, nuff said. A South Bend is going in the next time, besides, there's nothing better than a South Bend DD clutch, ... again, NOTHING better.

I really want to do a swap to an NV5600. I have had 3 prior Rams, and had 6 speeds and always ran SB Con-FE discs. A Free SB double disc clutch would shure help with this swap in these very hard economic times. If I win, I'll donate my 48RE to a needy brother here on the TDR. I would really pay it forward.

Tony

Heck, someone has to win. Might as well be me. 120,000 miles and a few power upgrades - bout time for a new clutch. Besides my wife is tired of me paying for goodies.

I would like to win this clutch so that I can add more power and still tow my Travel Trailer to the NASCAR races in Phoenix!

I think my Father should get a new clutch, seeing as he still has the original in his 95, If I remember corectly he has close to 200K on the truck so far, Yes its bone stock and is mostly used as a grocery getter with the ocasional horse hauling adventure. But his stock clutch is almost toast and I think it would be great for me to win him a new clutch.

Well, my 2001. 5 is my baby, 57,000 original miles ( all but about 11 put on by me). I was gonna trade her off, but really, I like this pickup more than than the new ones! Me & this pickup are gonna grow old together.

I've keep the fluids changed, MANY small upgrades ( luke's link, steering stabilizer, heated seats, power towing mirrors, exhaust brake, gauges, backup camera, and rewired some stuff more to my liking). But the BOMB bug has finally hit - I just had the injectors honed, now i want MORE. The list will invariably include an upgraded clutch, the stock one is starting to chatter. And a new South Bend will allow more $$$ for more power stuff! Thanks for the oppotunity!

I start my Cummins every day,

What to do today, who will say?

In summer a cargo trailer we tow,

In winter, with a plow we push snow.

Sometimes my Cummins & I will even play,

I need a SB-DD clutch, so my drive train won't fray!

I need that south bend clutch!!! I have been an under powered Dodge driver Since 2002. I went to the 2010 ATS Diesel on the mountain event, and while leaving the show there were many folks that were camping along the side of the road. They were begging all Diesel trucks, to boost their trucks up, easy enough, rev the engine up, and the turbo will whistle, fun stuff. Most would do this and Smoke would pour out... When it was my turn, I boosted up, and well no smoke show, so I got booed. My wife and kid hid in shame, ducking down in their seat as far as they could go. I have a Quadzilla, but I can't tap the pump wire until I have the extra's to handle it. By the way there was a Ford directly behind me, and he got cheers for blowing a ton of smoke their way... So embarrassing =( I don't feel I can show my face in Adams County again until I have enough power to save face. I have a 2002 HO, just begging me to open her up, and show the world that she too can smoke with the best of them. By the way... A Duramax took the win. That can't set well with the rest on here!!! While I can't guarantee that I could even put a hurt on any ATS vehicle, I can sure say that I would try. And as a former Hoosier, I feel I have a leg up on most of these westerners. I don't think they have a clue to what a real pulling truck looks like or sounds like. They have to go back East to see it. I hope my embarrassment, has made you laugh a little, but mostly I hope you will take pity enough on me to give me that clutch. The rest of you should be ashamed if you don't see my pain and suffering from all this, as it has deeply traumatized me.

WOW!!!...

What a contest for the membership... .

Here is what I have to say about this... ...

Having owned my truck since March of 1999 and its now tipping over 240k on the clock I have seen many vendors and businesses come and go from here. I have ran two big double disc's in my truck with great service, the first being a EEP which gave me over 100k and the current Haisley Machine which has been flawless since its install 50k ago. I have NEVER ran a SBC yet their commitment to the diesel community and their OUTSTANDING Customer service is always a subject when group of us get together to enjoy our rides. I have spoken with Peter many times and even though I am NOT a SBC customer(each time I needed a clutch outside forces have had me end up with someone elses)he ALWAYS finds the time to chat and help me with whatever I need at the time.

So as I slipped into here tonite and seen this contest I just wanted to say THANK YOU to BOTH the TDR AND South Bend Clutch for this great giveaway!. I am not in need of a clutch but know someone will be a very happy customer and will be very satisfied..... Thank You Robn and Peter... ..... Andy

After 121,000 miles on my 05 Ram with the G56 transmission and the stock clutch I'm not sure I'd be the guy that they'd want as a customer, I'd never need a new one again... . See it's all in how ya drive... . Lol Yea ok maybe I just got lucky this time around but this truck has dragged it fair share of boats to vacation destinations.

05 Ram Quad cab all stock well except for the Banks exaust and 35" tires

I have about 120,000 on my stock 06 clutch. I have recently started a "southbend fund" due my kids getting carsick from my truck vibrating in neutral. It would be great to apply that money to my 11 year olds braces fund. :)

I use my truck every day for my tree stump removal business. With business down over the last year or so, I may have to choose between the house and the truck. Hello, obvious choice. The catch is, if the clutch goes out now (while we are living in the truck), me, my wife, and my five children won't be able to keep moving to avoid the overnight parking tickets in my neighborhood.
