Hey everyone!!
Just some friendly advice - Do NOT, under any circumstance do a third gear launch at the drag strip with your single disc FE clutch - you WILL warp it and then she won't want to shift into gear, especially reverse.
Peter at South Bend was VERY helpful and at first had me purchase the hydraulic setup w/the adjustable master cylinder rod. But to no avail, it still didn't disengage the clutch completely. :{
So, after tearing out my transmission and seeing how bad the disc was warped, I called Peter again and he said that the only fix was to install a new clutch assembly. I decided though to go with a ConOFE this time because I never really liked the grabby take off's and want something more smoother for towing and daily driving.
I also want to commend Peter for his graciousness and understanding of my ignorance by sending me the new clutch assembly, covering it under warranty. A huge thanks and thumbs up for South Bend - first class!!
