You guys who have done the SBC G-56 conversion, what are your impressions as far as engagement, noise, shifter rattle, etc. It looks like it's inevitable, and I'd like to have your observations. My '07 works perfectly and is quiet, shifts smoothly, and although I don't relish spending mucho buckeroos,I'd appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

Thanks anyway. I received a p. m. from a member who had a sbc dd conversion. High horsepower application which I won't ever need.

I installed the SBC Con FE and I didn't hear any other noises. The only thing I have noticed was when leaving a light, it does grab hard.

Thanks for the input from a reg. cab guy. Peter recommended the #MU 1947 Con OFE rated to 450 rwhp. I don't even know if I need that much clutch. I'd like to retain the street manners of the stock setup as it works fine. I do have 2000lbs. on my back 24/7 so a little extra clutch would be prudent. The next clutch down is rated@350rwhp.

i have had the SBC OFE in my g56 for about 10,000 miles know and have no complaints it has held all the power i can throw at it so far. we should find out how far it will really go soon. i have a turbo being built by II now and am hopeing to have it in the next two weeks. then i can really put this OFE to the test. it has already held the 555HP in my sig from day one i dynoed with the stock dual mass setup. i can say that it feels alot stronger than it did before the clutch since the OFE install. just my . 002

Thanks Robert,I received your p. m. Appreciate your help.

well i have the SPS66 installed and so far the clutch is holding fine. i havent really laid the wood to it all the way yet i have been doing some towing lately that has me kind of scared to loose another clutch right now. all i can say is that this OFE is one heck of a clutch. i have done some pretty hard highway pulls so far with it. beating a 04-05 corvette from about 70 on up to 110 when my truck defueled. i know for a fact that this OFE has held way over the power it was designed for from the day i installed it.

Are you still having trouble getting it into gear while idling and stopped? Peter said maybe 1 in 50 of his clutches of all designs experience this trait. It baffles him and all he can do is exchange it for the customer. Good guy.
