Southern Alberta BOMBers EVENT WITH DYNO!!!

Looks like we may have the makings of a BOMBers EVENT.



It will be held at Watrous trucks in Calgary, with DYNO availability on hand. It is a Super-Flo dyno I am told.



Heck ANYONE anywhere can come... . even those way up in the great white north of Edmonton... . come on down.



Event is tentatively scheduled for Dec 1.



Please post replies here if you are interested. If there is enough sincere interest, it will be going forward.

I would love to go, But... ... ... ... my wife is now 8 months pregnant ( I think she is going to pop any day!!!!) with our first, and a 12 hour trip would not go over to well, and I am sure I could not sneak off and leave her alone.



I would love to go and was planning on going to the TDR rally in Cochrane Labour Day weekend 2000, but I had to be in a wedding. Not mine, but you get the idea... ... . If there is an event scheduled for next year some time let me know. I will try and attend. I still have never seen another TDR member in my life!



I was just in Grande Prairie this weekend... ...

Now there's an idea... Up to this point its just been the SAB as most of us were in and around the Calgary area. I would like to have an ABTDR group to meet and setup events...



This all depends on the response we get to this event... . I would be interested in heading up the group if we get a few members... .

Hoping he'll bring some of his BOMBing buddies with him! I'd be in to a ABTDR chapter-thinking he probably would too. How many guys would we have to get to make something like this go?

Edmonton is only 7 hours away for me and me and my wife enjoy visiting Edmonton... ... . That is if you would let someone from B. C. in! More event's around Calgary, but one a year in Edmonton I could probably do!

There's enough oilpatch stuff going on up there that we should probably consider you honorary Albertans anyway . Thinking we're gonna be scratching to get enough guys together-and if we don't the more the merrier anyways right?



Hope we can find enough to make a go of it-it sounds like a whale of an idea... .

Apparently date has been moved to Dec. 15th-rain/snow/tornadoes can't stop it now ! Thought I'd pass it along up here-I sent e-mails already to the guys I'd notified about it.

Well the work buddy from GP I'm shippin to LaBarge,Wyoming to do some work that week so he won't be around... But he has a contact in Rimbey that is a Bully Dog dealer with a similar rig with propane... Sounds like a challenge to me... .

Talked to Scotty last night

Everything is still a go and we need all the response we can get to see if this can be an annual event!!!



Waterous is nice enough to make the Dyno runs Free and all we are asking is for a donation to food or other stuff needed throughout the day... we can still have a little package for the guys running the dyno.



If the crowd is a good size we may have some door prize goodies to hand out and some stuff on display. All these details have to be hammered out... Please give either Shawn. L. Turbo or me a line so we can have a head count. .

Got this note from Scotty today:



Piers is unable to attend... its the only date he cannot. I knew there was something specific about this date. LOL However, he is sending two $50. 00 gift certificates! Cochrane Dodge is going to throw in some goodies too.

I will post any and all new news as it gets confirmed.

I bet there will be a few air inductions up for grabs too.

... I was looking forward to meeting him and bending his ear for a little while . Oh well excuse for a trip to BC I guess... .



I'm still trying to round up more guys. My buddy from Edmonton said he's in for sure-and I'm hoping he's gonna bring some more with him. There's a couple guys around here that I should ask I guess... one's got a VA, BD injectors and a Tork-Loc or whatever BD calls that transmission fooling box..... kinda afraid to encourage him to dyno as it may be the last gasp for the transmission... . won't run any gauges either. But it would be interesting to see how his truck would compare to mine... .



Does anybody know for sure how many guys (or gals for that matter) that we'd have to have to start an ABTDR chapter?

Ohh boy, no gauges hey???Well maybe he won't mind forkin out another $12K for a replacement ISB when he melts that one down... He has to see the light, or pay to play... .



As for the ABTDR "membership", it could be just 2 or as many as want to join... No fees, just the occasional breakfast and coffee. .

By overwhelming support the ABTDR is being dropped in favour of the Alberta BOMBers Club do to one of the founding members coining the phrase BOMB, you know who... .

Just by doing this I am open for being removed from this board...
