Pahrump is the "HUMP"

ABC sounds good to me!

Kinda got a catchy ring to it :D .

I talked to my buddy with the ungauged monster today-let him know the date and we'll go from there. Losing battle trying to get him to run gauges-he's set in his ways and he'd rather burn it down than change his ways I suspect  . He's a good guy-and I respect his decision not to add gauges even though I'm pretty sure it's gonna cause him grief in the future. His dealer actually BOMBed his truck-don't know what's going to happen there when problems do occur... but I don't care either because they're not my dealer.

Still looking for more subjects for the dyno day though-got a few friends with stock trucks but I don't think they have any burning desire to dyno them. If I think of some more though I'll get right on it.

Pretty sure that 9:00 was the designated start time. I've gotta work that day-so I'm getting up early and pounding through my run-hopefully I can be out of the plant by 9:30 which would put me at Waterous just before lunch. I've gotta be gone by 3:00 as our company Christmas party starts at 6:00-that'll barely give me enough time to shower and change clothes so hopefully the roads are good that day :D . Looking forward to meeting a few more dieselheads.

Guys,

You need to have one when the snow isn't a factor and I will be their for sure.

If you guys could set one up in February I'll be their. :D

Ahhh, the snow ain't that bad... . It usually doesn't stick around here for long. We just got our first dump (8") this weekend...

Chicken..... LOL... ...

This could be possible

It's a little close to Christmas but I just might be able to swing it. I bought my DC from Cochrane Dodge thanks to a recommendation from Scott. I never met Scott face to face nor did I ever meet the salesman from which I bought the truck so this could be good opportunity to meet them both.

I'll do my best and that's for sure.

Update...........

Well boys, its turning out to be the biggest event of the year..... OK maybe not LOL... ... .

Note from Scotty. . :

Heres the companies contributing to the Dyno Day so far...

> Cochrane Dodge

> Diesel Dynamics

> Kwik Spool Turbos

> Piers Diesel Research

> Southbend Clutch

> Scotty Air Systems

There are more being contacted as we speak. .

We are starting at 9:00 am and are wanting to have everyone chip in with a "donation" for the building and operators. Enough to send the guys at Waterous out for a good dinner or something before xmas... . So bring some cash!!!!

J-eh

Good to hear....

I'm still doing my best to line up some more trucks from out here. Talked to a couple more guys-not sure how it's gonna work into their schedule but I'm trying man... .

It'll be close to noon when I get in there, and I've got to be out of there by 3:00 at the absolute latest-gotta do my end-of-the-day walkthrough at the plant, shower, change clothes, and drive another 1/2 hour for a company Xmas party. So we're gonna have to cram a full day's BS session into 3 hours :D

Looking Good!

Shawn, it looks like I'll be in Calgary for a 2 day meeting with Honeywell Dec 12th & 13th if all goes well (95% sure). If this is the case I'll stay in Calgary for one more night and then I can take in the BIG EVENT on Sat. If you are available Fri, lunch is on me.

The bottom line is "count me in". :)

Yup.....More info!!!!

BUMP!

Just a BUMP to the top of the list as a REMINDER!!!

It is this Saturday, Dec 15th at 9:00 AM at Watrous Trucks in Calgary.

C'mon you guys, let's all get out there and share some stories.

:D :D :D

Shawn

Another vendor...with prizes!!

GCL Fuel Systems just jumped on board and will be bringing some Swag from BD. . (Rumor..... A Jacket!!!!) Man I hope more that a dozen show, or we might have people with multiple prizes!!!LOL

J-eh

I was in your fair city today....

... picked up some Lubetec and Stanadyne fuel conditioners, checked on the status of my BHAF (should be out here in time to be installed for the dyno day), and got a braided line kit so I can tie my fuel pressure gauge in tomorrow. So I should have all the bases pretty much covered... I hope. Now if nothing goes for hell at work on Saturday morning I'll be off to the races. Will be there for sure by noon-hoping to be earlier than that if all the pieces fall into place as I've gotta be out of there no later than 3:00-probably more like 2:30 to meet my prior committments.

Looking forward to meeting a few more BOMBers!

Jason

Edmonton area?

How many people are coming from the Edmonton area besides me? My plan is to leave Fri night and return home after the big event on Sat.

PSD guys!!!

We have another vendor, GT Performance out of Rimbey.

Rod is coming with some chips for the PSD's and the Duramaxes.

Oh ya some stuff for our CTD's. . ;)

Looks like quite a show as we will have two bays to get out of the cold and Jaw while we have coverage of the Dyno!

This is gonna be the biggest event of the year in Calgary and if it turns out as planned, will be the Biggest event this side of the great divide in CANADA!!!!

Then I wake up . LOL:rolleyes:... . Really we are expecting 20 trucks, or more!!!

Hope to see all of you there, members of the ABC, TDR or not!!

J-eh

Great day for a motorcar race!

Sorry to paraphrase Jackie Stewart... but it was a good day today in the fair city of Calgary. I had a GREAT time-good to put some faces to names I had met here on the TDR! Thanks to Scotty for putting everything together-and all the vendors for supplying prizes-and Waterous for hosting the event. Already making plans to improve on my performance... hopefully by the next event :D

Again thanks to everyone involved-I (and my Dad) had a spectacular time!

Jason

Excellent Event!!!

Well, it was indeed a great event. Much better than I think anyone even expected. Great turnout and got to talk with a lot of nice folks with a common interest.

I really enjoyed it.

Scott, Marshall, and Terry, Waterous Trucks (and their great staff) thank you SO much for putting this on. The guys at waterous treated us like long time friends, and were very helpful in answering many questions.

A lot of work behind the scenes was put in to make this a success, and it showed.

What a sight it was to see 20 guys glued to a small TV screen showing Horsepower numbers... ...

I think we need to have an award for two more distinictions:

1) Most wicked sounding turbo whine under heavy load - Scott took it this time.

2) Highest ungoverned RPM before mechanical destruction - The PSD took it this time.

It was great to meet everybody face to face... .

Cheers,

Shawn

Good point about the "extra awards" Shawn-I'm not likely gonna forget anytime soon the sound that PSD made... . I can't believe he didn't wound some valvetrain parts anyway..... But then I've never heard a noise like Scott's truck makes either-that's the coolest sound I think I've ever heard! Lots of cool rides there too-everybody's truck had something different to check out. Liked your front license plate a lot Shawn!

Still grinnin' like a fool the day after the fact-and I got an email this afternoon for Scott talking about the sequel for this summer! I'm stoked already... . my bank account is gonna take a serious hurting this spring :D :D :D

BOMBs away!
