I have a TST/EZ on my 2005 with the SP 66 turbo and DDP 100 hp injectors. The truck runs decent. You can feel the rail running dry. I have a BDDL w/CL laying in the shop and I unplugged the TST/ez and downloaded the CL and it seems way stronger. Plus my EGTS will hit 1700 easy with the ez toggle in the middle and tst on 4x4. I was kindof under the impression that this turbo would work great with my setup, but I need way more air. I guess twins is the only answer, but I'm definately not gonna go that route. Anyone dynoed the TST/ez vs the BDDL CL?

At the dyno on my '05 6 spd I made 419 on the TST alone and 42?? on the CL. The TST/EZ should make more but the limiting factor I think (my 2 cents) is the rail pressure like you said. It may not be lack of air but lack of pressure. The fuel is not atomizing correctly and that is giving you black smoke and high EGT's. That is probably why with the CL alone it feels better since the CL does some pressure, some duration, etc... etc. . and the TST is pretty aggressive with the duration and the EZ with the pressure, and you also have injectors that further enhance the problem with the low fuel pressure.

What Are You Doing Different Than I Am Because With The Crazy Larry All I Saw Was 388/673 So Something Is Big Time Wrong With One Of Our Numbers?

I did have an air filter and exhaust. I don't know if that would have made the difference. It dynoed like a couple more ponies than the TST on my truck. Maybe it was the dyno or altitude and pressure and humidity. I know it was cool cause the dyno was like at 2 AM or something like that.

Black,

What kind of HP numbers are you putting down? With mine (80hp injectors, 62/12 turbo and twins program) it runs like a raped ape in 3/3, but if I go up to 4-9/any tq settings it takes off, bogs, smokes bad then gets with it, but my EGT limit kicks in pretty quick. That being said, I have a FASS 150 uninstalled that may help as I'm on stock lift pump and fuel lines.

I know mine does... I have the SP66, and it holds 600hp with out much a fuss at all

Run a drb and you will see when the rail pressure drops. Untill you install a Stage I cp3 I would back off the tst duration till the egts go down to arround 1400*f. When the rail pressure drops the egts go up.

Unfortunately, haven't been on the dyno yet. Hopefully next week. I'm gonna install my supply pump system next week. Maybe that will help. Pulled 15k trailer last night. This thing is perfect for that. Its definately the best towing setup I've had yet. It would haul a** up steep grades at only 1100-1200 degrees. May go with the stage 1 on the cp-3 also.
