I thought I would post on my findings with this product.

The SPA dual gauge can be had in many different configurations of which you can find here.

For me with my auto trans I chose to go with a Temp/Temp Gauge and configured it to read EGT on top and Trans Temp on the bottom, in the SRT-10 A-Pillar it looks like this:#ad

A friend of mine chose the EGT/Boost gauge for his 6 speed truck and it his looks like this:#ad

An interesting feature of these gauges is the multi function menu that you access with the red button.

You can download a complete user manual here or here are some highlights…

It has a 15 position adjustable back lighting of which you do not connect into your dimmer circuit. I found that with it on #2 in the dark it does not overpower the dash lights and yet is very readable. Leaving the back light on at all times with this setting provides a look of no back light in the day yet starts to gradually show as the sun goes down and by the time you switch on your headlamps it blends real well.

You can change the back light from red to green to off.

Units of measure can me changed

The warning lamps on the gauge can be set to flash at whatever measurement you like.

There is an external output on each that can drive an led for yet another user selected warning or a relay at what ever measurement you like.

It has a low battery warning built in so even though we are not talking about one of their volt gauges these will warn if battery voltage falls below a “user selectable” voltage.

Resolution is selectable if you would like to see for example 28. 7 lbs of boost or just 28 lbs. In experimenting with this I found that low resolution is more easy to read because the numbers are not changing so fast.

A quick press of the red button shows the highest number attained, keep pressing for 5 seconds and it will clear so you can do unmonitored measurements for later review like gauging EGT’s at different fueling box settings on a course that requires more attention to the road.

You can get these in a chrome bezel, black bezel, white face, black face or any combination.

All the wiring, connectors, senders and such are included. These are pretty spendy but IMO are worth it for the unique features.

I hope someone will find this info useful…

I have 2 dual guages in my truck and love them. I want to say that the guys at SPA are the best about standing behind their products. I had the backlight go out in my guage and they promptly replaced it.

If any of you guys experience fluctuations in the pressure sections of the guages, I learned that you need to attach a ground wire to the sending unit and ground them to the body close to where the sending units are mounted.

I have 3 of the SPA Series-2 gauges in my truck: EGT/Boost, Fuel Pressure/Engine Oil Temp, Rear Diff/transmission Temp. All on the A-pillar. Had them in for 4 years now. They are awesome, well worth the $$$, but they are quite $$$.

I bought direct from their web site and I should clarify that the Temp/Temp gauge I have in my truck was 218. 00 + an additional thermocouple and adapter box to make the gauge function as an EGT/Trans Temp gauge was 118. 00

Backlight went out?

Morothead,

I currently have the same problem that you had fixed (backlight. ) Mine went out on my boost/EGT. Who did you contact to get it replaced? They didn't charge you at all? The dealer that I bought it from wants $120 to replace the guage itself.

Thanks in advance.
