I just ordered the SPA generic pressure/temp gauge to install on my truck to monitor fuel press. I am planning on installing SS fuel lines once the everyone figures out the sizes and fittings. What I need to know is what do I need to install the sensor in a temporary basis on the test port on the fuel filter?? and on the injection pump?? I plan on moving it back and forth to test my pressuers till I get the SS fuel line system. Thanks in advance.

John,

I am not familiar with the SPA stuff but generically speaking you need a valve stem tool to remove the valve from the test port on the fuel filter. You also need a -4AN JIC 37 degree adapter to put on the end of the test port after you remove the valve stem. Most of the adapters I have seen are -4AN to 1/8" NPT female. If your sender is 1/8" NPT male you can thread it directly into the adapter or you can run some fuel line from the adapter and mount the sender remotely. The senders I have seen seem a little large to hang off the test ports on the injection pump or the filter housing.
